Hello, my name is Farah, and I am a 21-year-old English Literature student from Gaza. I was supposed to graduate this year, but my dreams were shattered. I have survived five wars, but nothing compares to the horrors I have experienced since October 7th.
After threats to our neighborhood, my family and I were forced to leave our home in the north of Gaza and flee to Rafah in the south, with bombs exploding overhead. I had to leave behind everything I loved, including my eight cats. I managed to take only one with me.
We have endured unimaginable hardships. Each day felt like an eternity as we suffered from a lack of water and food. We had to rely on canned food and cook over open fires because there was no gas. One night, an airstrike hit a house near us, shattering glass all around us. It was a horrific night I will never forget.
Before the war, we had decorated our house to make it our dream home, a place of comfort and peace. But our dream was destroyed when our home was partially demolished in the bombings. For seven long months, we waited for the war to end, but the situation only grew worse.
The hardest moment came when my mother and I had to make the heartbreaking decision to evacuate Gaza, leaving my father behind because we couldn't afford the cost to cross the Rafah border, which is $5000 per person. Leaving him behind was the most painful moment of my life.
I am now seeking your help to reunite with my father and save him from the dangers in Gaza. Your support will help cover the costs of crossing the border and ensure my father's safety until we can be together again. I am the only hope for my family, and I am pleading for your assistance.
Please support us in any way possible. Your generosity can make a world of difference and help reunite a family torn apart by war. Thank you for your kindness and compassion
