On Sunday May 7th Tyler, Alicia & their two girls were in a horrific car accident on Hwy 7. They were hit head on. Tyler has a broken pelvis and has been released from the hospital and walking with a walker. Alicia was care flighted to S&W in Temple where she went in for emergency surgery due to internal bleeding. They removed a portion of her small intestine due to the trauma and bleeding. She will have another surgery soon to try and repair the rest of the intestines and confirm all internal bleeding has stopped. She required a massive amount of blood during surgery. She is stable and in ICU. She also has a fractured ankle that will require surgery, but that is not a priority at this time. Both girls, Kylee (8) and Remi (6) are in ICU at Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Medical Center in Temple . Both have broken collar bones. Kylee has a small neck/spine fracture and may require surgery on her collarbone and to remove the bone fragment from her neck. Remi has a broken rib as well as a small spot on her brain that they believe is bleeding. Both girls are stable, and tough as nails. We are all so grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this time. They are all going to have a long road to recovery, but we are so thankful they are here with us.
