Sunflowers are known for being “happy” flowers, making them the perfect gift to bring joy to someone. The Sunflower Project is in honor of my grandmother, Christine who brought happiness and joy to my life as well as so many others.
My grandmother battled kidney disease for ten years. Dialysis treatment three times a week was her reality for the last ten years of her life before she went to heaven in 2016. She fought kidney disease with a positive attitude and continued to live life to the fullest. My grandma was the most generous and giving person I have ever known. She always thought of others before herself. The Sunflower Project was created to continue her legacy. Your generous donations will be used to purchase material to be used to make blankets and fistula bands for dialysis patients. My hope is that The Sunflower Project will continue my grandmother's legacy by generously giving to those who are battling kidney disease.
