We are starting this page to support our friends Gareth and Emma Grierson and their 4 children, Liam, Grace, Eoin and Ewan.
Emma and Gareth are two of the hardest working, generous, and loyal people we know. They have not in any way asked for this assistance but we feel strongly that those who care about them want to help in any way they can.
Emma and Gareth have always supported the local community and school, consistently donating their time and resources to fundraising events.That is just the kind of kind people they are.
When Red Door Bakery began in 2010, it became a bustling, much loved community bakery and cafe. It was always warm and welcoming and very much a place where you felt part of the family and always had a friend if you were there alone. It was not only the local cafe where everybody met and formed relationships, it was the heart and soul of our community. As much as it will be missed we are more acutely aware of looking now to the future and how we can help our dear friends strive to move forward and on to the next chapter.
Running and owning a business is not easy and whilst many have an opinion on this, very few see behind the scenes. Both Gareth and Emma have worked tirelessly despite various challenges and times of heartbreak. We are not seeking donations for Red Door Bakery. This is not legally possible now.
We want our dear friends to have some necessary breathing space to recover, spend time with their 4 children and cover the costs of living as they make plans for the future.
Please donate if you wish. Please refrain from negative or judgemental commentary. This is a place of kindness. Let’s show this family that the community cares about their own and show some love and kindness.
