السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته
After praising the Almighty and sending salutation upon our beloved Prophet (saw)...
It is with immense pleasure and gratification I would like to thank Allah for considering us worthy of his work and granting us the closing of our masjid in Georgetown الحمدلله.
Secondly, I would like to say Jazakallahu Kahirun to all the brothers, sisters, elders, and all anonymous people who helped us with Duaa, donations, and qarz-e-hasana for the sake of Allah. May Allah reward all of you in this world and the hereafter.
*In this regard InShaAllah we will have a افتتاح مسجد (Masjid opening ceremony) after Zohar Salat on this coming Monday September 4th, 2023, where we will be blessed with the presence of prominent scholars from the GTA. Zohar Salat will be at 2:00 InShaAllah.*

-Payment of $150,000 extended to June 6 for due diligence. Initial deposit of $150,000 has already been done الحمد للہ
-City confirmed that the church is zoned as a place of worship, it’s not a heritage place, there is no work order and we will soon be getting a compliance letter
-Will ask for a 2-year VTB from owners to pay off the sum of 3 million dollars
-A family is willing to sell their residence to help pay for the purchase of the property
-Met local Georgetown Muslims-About 150 Muslim families live in the town
-Qardah Hasanah form of donation is accepted to pay the 3 million dollars for the property
-It’s very difficult to find a place of worship pre-zoned properties so we should not miss this opportunity

Alhamdulillah, we at Sayyiduna Uthman Islamic Academy are extremely happy that we are fundraising to buy this large church InshaAllah. It will be the first Masjid in Georgetown, which is between Brampton and Guelph. The exact address of the well-maintained church is:

Alhumdulillah, we have given a deposit of $150,000 (one hundred and fifty thousand dollars). We need to give $150,000 by the 20th of May 2023.

Uthman ibn Affan R.A. reported: Our beloved Messenger of Allah, Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam, said, “Whoever builds a Masjid for Allah, Allah will build for him a house like that in Jannah.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 450, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 533
