Hello, my name is Romi, and as many of you know, I have been working as a Staff Nurse for just over a year. I’m excited to share that in February 2026, I will be travelling to Tanzania to volunteer in local hospitals and within the community.
This trip will give me the opportunity to support healthcare workers and help provide care both in hospitals and within the community. I know it will be challenging, but also incredibly meaningful- a chance to dedicate my time, energy, and compassion to making a difference in another country.
I hope to use part of the funds raised to purchase and donate essential medical supplies such as dressings, PPE, and other equipment. Many hospitals in Tanzania face shortages of basic items such as gloves, antiseptics, bandages, monitoring equipment all of which are vital to safe and effective patient care. Being able to bring some of these supplies with me will have an immediate and practical impact on patient care.
I am deeply passionate about helping others, exploring new places, and continuing to learn and grow. This experience will not only allow me to contribute to a community in need, but will also support my personal and professional development as a nurse.
Your kindness and generosity would mean the world to me—whether you’re able to donate, share my experience, or simply send your support.
Thank you so much for being part of this journey with me :)
