You are not alone. That is the moral of the story that, with your help, I hope to write on my road to the 2022 Illinois Marathon in Champaign on April 30. Mental illness, suicidal ideation, and suicide itself have grown at a worrying rate over recent years, affecting many lives including my own. In response, I'm raising money to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me and many others. I will run strong for you if you are strong for me and for this vital cause!
Last Fall, my three brothers, Billy, Paul, and Tommy, FaceTimed me to throw a fitting twist into the plot. They shared with me that they had each decided to run the 2022 Illinois Half Marathon. I cannot wait to run by their side for the first half of my race. We are not alone. I am so grateful for them.
