Hi, my name is Jaimen and I wanted to reach out on behalf of my good friend and her beautiful family. In the early hours of July 25, 2025, my friend Brittney and her partner Stephen lost everything in a devastating house fire. The family has three amazing children, 2 young teenagers, Teagan and Ashlynn, and her youngest son, Parker. On Friday morning Brittney and Stephen woke in a room full of dark smoke, every parents worst nightmare. She managed to make her way through the smoke filled hallways, getting the children and pets out the front door and onto the lawn. There she had to hold her children as they watched the house burn. Brittney is so thankful to the Langley fire department who managed to put out the blaze before it spred to other homes on the street. Unfortunately anything that survived the blaze is now buried in the ruble that was their roof, and soaked in water and soot. She walked through the home this morning and everything, pictures and baby blankets, photo albums and keepsakes have all been destroyed. They have discovered the fire was started on the front porch, due to a faulty wire in the wall.

The family is currently staying in a hotel and will need to purchase everything for when they move to their short term rental. To make matters more devastating, their youngest daughter Ashlynn has her 12th birthday in only two days. I am reaching out in the hopes that we, as a community, can help our neighbors to rebuild and to make their daughters birthday as special as she is.
