My kind, caring, wonderful son Joshua has been diagnosed with cancer clear cell sarcoma This is a very rare cancer and currently there is no cure Because this type of cancer is so rare and every one has individual types.
Joshua may have a few months or possibly a few years to live his life the best he can. Joshua has Asperger’s so his life has always been a struggle but through it all he has always been a kind , caring and happy boy/ young man. He is friendly and helpful and can talk to anyone ,He has a wicked sense of humour and his close circle of friends love him as do I and his sister.
Joshua has always battled with education and being given the chance to prove others wrong that he is more than capable of achieving his life goals. Up until a few weeks ago Joshua was attending college studying a level 2 engineering course, His plan after this was to study level 3 and then go to university and ultimately find a job in the engineering industry.
On Tuesday may 26th 2026 Our lives changed forever On the advice of our GP I drove Joshua to hospital with a suspected slipped disc, within 24 hours the Doctors told us it was not a slipped disc but more serious they were thinking lymphatic Cancer. The rate of survival was good and there was a treatment Joshua and I processed the information and although it was bad news we looked for the positives. Fast forward to June 5th biopsy results were back It wasn’t Lymphatic cancer But something more rare and with no cure , Clear cell sarcoma We are all still numb from the news.
I am going to try my best to give Joshua as many experiences as he can manage He has dreamed of going to Japan, Doing a road trip with his friends around the USA visiting the Galápagos Islands and many more things that most 20 year olds plan to do. we also planned to convert our garage into his man cave so he had his own space to study, sleep and be independent while still having my support if he needed it.
Our goal of this fundraiser is to give Joshua the chance to experience as much of life as possible and make the absolute best of the time that he does have any support with this would be much appreciated , whether it be a donation or a share it would mean the world to us and Joshua!
