Please consider helping my dear friend and local mother of two, who is in desperate need of funds to get out of heartbreaking situation. Due to the sensitive nature of this situation anonymity must be held, but please know that this mother has always been in a position of service and advocacy for others, even while going through much trauma and heartbreak, and is much loved by all who know her. She is fiercely devoted to her kids and is an amazing mother and despite obvious sadness and pain, she is eager to continue encouraging and blessing others in her journey.

I’m hoping we, as a community, can rally around her and her kids so that they can have the ability to address their immediate need to leave their current living situation to heal in a safe environment.

Her Story

It is with a humble and sincere heart that I am writing. I have been searching for clarity and wisdom for a very long time now. I have come to the conclusion that sometimes it takes vulnerability to heal or get help, so here goes...

I am tired and weary, but I am not hopeless, I struggle with health issues, but I am not broken. I have been left and lied to, yet I am not worthless. The story runs deep...here's a few highlights...

For the past 22 years I have been living with a spouse with significant mental illness. This presents itself multiple ways but, emotional and mental abuse and financial neglect run high. I have been trying to recover from a life threatening surgery which was accompanied by some significant complications, keeping me in the hospital for several months. Shortly after my discharge, one of my teenagers was admitted to an extensive psychiatric outpatient program for multiple months. Though her help was profound, due to our living situation the journey was/is very difficult. I am scheduled for another major surgery in July and yet it has become necessary, for safety's sake, to remove myself and my two teenagers from this home. Perhaps it is also God's hand to move us forward, as we have been given an eviction notice.

We are trusting that once we are living in a safe and stable environment we will be able to flourish. I know my journey to come will not be easy but this life has been my schooling, and I look forward to helping others.

Whatever you can do to assist us with relocating, medical bills and rent for a few months, until I can provide for my kids, would literally be life changing. My kids have been through so much; I would love to see them be able to rest in the warmth and safety of a place they can call and feel home.
