Support Jason's Family in Their Time of Need
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Melissa O'Brien, and I am a close friend of Jason & Wanda Chamberlain.
I represent many friends of the family, who share my sense of feeling helpless in what we can do, in giving support to the family left behind, Wanda & Kris.
It is our ultimate prayer, hope, and wish, that any financial burden & undue stress will be lightened as much as possible, as Wanda begins her heartbreaking journey without her husband. The GoFundMe project will prayerfully allow her to grieve without the stress of immediate financial uncertainties.
Jason & Wanda live in Stafford County, VA, in a beautiful home that they built together in a nice subdivision. Married for 18 years and living their best life. Man & wife and best friends doing what they loved most, and together.
Jason was an Army vet and was proud to serve his country. He would tell anyone who would listen. He was the type of man that would help anyone who needed it. He never met a stranger, and he had a great sense of humor. People enjoyed this about Jason.
Jason (being an Army vet) had put a military logo on his truck saying, "Honor those who never made it back home." On February 28th, little did anyone know, that helping someone, Jason himself, would never make it back home. Not from military action, but from helping someone right where he lived.
On February 28th, Jason had heard a noise out front, and he had witnessed local law enforcement attempting to contain a situation. Jason jumped in to help, as Jason would do. Sadly, Jason tragically lost his life on this day. He was trying to help his fellow man, which turned into a tragic and senseless death. Stafford County Sheriff's Office has hailed Jason as a "courageous" human being.
That evening, Jason had expressed to Wanda how glad he was the weekend was finally here. She then said, "Jason was so happy." This being her last memory of her husband before leaving out the door.
Jason was the sole breadwinner for the family, and Wanda's responsibility was taking care of Kristen (daughter), who has had open-heart surgery and faces mental & physical difficulties, along with other health issues. Wanda has and is her daughter's only caretaker.
Jason was a hardworking man that provided for his family; however, unfortunately, Jason did not have a life insurance policy, investments to be had, or any pension.
His wife will be faced with the stress, fear, and then the reality of the upcoming financial burden, while at the same time, she is trying to process this horrific and senseless death of her husband and mourn this loss.
Any donation would be accepted with a great deal of gratitude, appreciation, and a huge blessing.
Embrace those whom you love, with all your heart.
