My sister Amy suffered a brain aneurysm when she was 27 years old. Amy is 52 now. She subsequently had mini strokes, these all contributed to her being disabled. This wonderful woman is saddled with speech issues, memory loss, walking with a limp, trouble using her hands and mood swings.
Amy suffers from depression and is on many medications. She is unable to work and lives on social security and food stamps.
Amy is smart, funny and caring, but she is also very lonely and has trouble sleeping most every night.
We try and do things to make her happy, like going to a Yankees game! That's where we are in the photo! Amy loves the Yankees and got to see her favorite player close up, Aaron Judge.
Our biggest concerns are for her dental care , living conditions and her future. Amy needs major dental work and has no dental insurance. Her apartment needs renovations. It is in disrepair and her appliances don't work properly or are rusted beyond safe operation.
We are asking for your help because we care about Amy and her day to day life, physical well being and her future.
We'd use the funds initially to address her dental health. She'll sleep better and her moods will be happier once the work is done. Her appliances are old and cabinets are falling off the wall. Her laundry room is dark, wet and unsafe. Your help would provide funds to be used to upgrade and create a safe, lovely environment for Amy to live in. This also will bring joy to her life. A life that needs a boost of love and some help. The rest we will save in a fund for her future, for peace of mind and to be able to take care of her medically and pay for ongoing emotional and living support.
It's time to help Amy. We will be so grateful for any donation you can make! You'll literally be making a difference in her life and future!
Thank you so much for your time considering Amy's needs. We hope you open your heart to Amy and help in any way that you can.
With love,
Mary & Fred
