Hello!

In March of 2023, a group of nursing students from Winona State University will be travelling with Vida Volunteer to serve the rural communities of Guatemala. Vida is an international non-profit organization (501(c)(3)) whose mission is to improve global health through health promotion. We will be working alongside local physicians to diagnose, treat, and educate the underserved population. The trip will last nine days. Of those, four days will be spent in mobile clinics in which we will strive to see as many patients as possible. The more volunteers we have, the more patients we will be able to help.

As we are full-time nursing students, not everyone has the means to provide for this trip. The upfront cost for each student is $2460. This cost will cover transportation, accommodations, most meals, medical equipment, interpreters, bilingual medical professionals, and in-country assistance.

We are asking for your support in our travels. This mission trip would be an opportunity of a lifetime and will give us valuable experience towards our future careers in nursing. Any amount will help!
