To mark the 3rd anniversary of the loss of Lavel, Devin, and D'Sean, I am taking on the challenge of running the Allianz Richmond Marathon, not just for the physical test, but to remember their lives through contributions to organizations that honor their memory. With the support of the families, I’m fundraising for three meaningful organizations that provide direct assistance to creating a positive impact on young people in their respective communities. The total funds raised will be divided equally between the following groups:

For Lavel, funds raised will benefit the Lavel Davis Jr. Foundation at Bethel AME Church in Ridgeville, SC.

For Devin, funds raised will benefit the Devin Chandler Foundation which supports both the Devin Chandler Youth Football Camp and the Devin K. Chandler Memorial Scholarship at Greenville County High School.

For D'Sean, funds raised will benefit the D'Sean Perry Spirit of the Cavaliers Foundation which supports the D'Sean Perry End Gun Violence Youth Football Camp and the D'Sean Perry Christmas Community Bike Drive.

Running has become an outlet for both physical and mental health these past three years, and I am thankful for where my feet have taken me. Your support, whether through donations or encouragement on race day, helps turn this run into a sustained effort of remembrance and love.
