Hello everyone,
Title: As I wait for the arrival of my baby girl-Gaza
Hi my name is nidal zaqout, I'm 30 years old , I have achild (Arafat 3 years) and my wife is pregnant , I'm a registered nurse in Al-shifa hospital insdie Gaza strip ,As I have been waiting for the arrival of my daughter and for my family to grow and become a family of four ,my life flipped upside down.
From a father full of joy, happiness, and passion to a homeless nurse ,sleeping on a different floor every couple of days ,evacuating from one hospital to another a way from my pregnant wife who I miss ,a way from my two year son who I haven't seen in weeks .i found myself in the ER wearing my uniform doing my duty, refusing to let my people down, it was a voulentery choice ,but I just couldn't sit back and watch when my people needed me the most. it was tough seeing all these children's, women, elderies, friends screaming for help,
Each time I enter I hope I don't find my family coming to the ER needing care , as I see my colleagues losing their loved ones ,one after one .

Every time I close my eyes,i wonder am I ever gonna be mentally ok! After all the things I have witnessed, all the horrific scenes i see,am i gonna stay standing on my feet,or I'm just gonna collapse all of a sudden.
I wonder if Im gonna wake up again to watch the arrival of my baby girl ,but remembering that she doesn't even have a home to come to ,a crib to sleep in ,a new cloth to wear ,breaks my heart every time .

I will tell you my story in three stages /
stage 1:- The first time I was besieged in Al-Shifa Hospital after the Israeli army entered the vicinity of the hospital area, and after much suffering, I was able to leave and move to the central area with my pregnant wife and my young son Arafat. It was one of the most difficult situations I have ever felt, when you find yourself unable to do anything. After that, I did not give up and worked in Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in (ER) department for two months, but the suffering did not end, as I was besieged again by the occupation and moved to Khan Yunis. I also worked in Nasser Hospital for 5 weeks , and only a few days later the army entered and I was besieged for two days. After that, I was able to leave and move to Rafah City and worked in Abu Yousef Al-Najjar Hospital for 6 weeks. My pregnant wife’s condition was very critical, as the tent life was tragic, very difficult and unhealthy.
However ,amidst this chaos, where I reached a point staying in a tent, running around from one hospital to another, ,having no cloth to wear ,no food to eat, finding myself not able to provide for my family and all the children I see suffering inside the hospital.

Stage 2 :- After that, I was able to get my pregnant wife out to give birth in Egypt and with my son Arafat. I stayed alone for two months in Rafah City in the tent but i did not leave my duty and work in medical points in the displacement camps and work in the hospital as well waiting to go out to Egypt and see my wife and my new baby girl, and I was able to do that, I went to Egypt before the Philadelphi Corridor was invaded and the crossing was closed, and I met my beautiful daughter and my wife again, after a very difficult journey of suffering, thank God.
Stage 3 :- after a difficult journey of suffering, I have arrived in Canada with my wife and my son (Arafat 3 years ) & my daughter (Rasha 7 month ). Migration to Canada has provided them with safety, but it also means a new beginning with all its difficulties. Many of these children and their families face severe financial challenges. They need support to cover basic necessities such as food, shelter, education, and clothing.
My goal is to help them settle and integrate into their new life. The donations and funds raised will be used to support Arafat and Rasha, enabling them to access education, social activities, and psychological support they need to heal from their past and build a brighter future.

We invite organizations specializing in assisting newcomers to Canada to help us raise funds and start this new chapter of life.
Your donation can make a significant difference. Every dollar contributes to giving them a dignified life and an opportunity to succeed and integrate into Canadian society. We believe that every child deserves safety, education, and opportunities.
Help us give these children a fresh start, and be part of this journey of hope. Together, we can change their lives for the better

Don't look at me as a nurse ,as i believe it's my duty to do what i do, and im proud
Help us give Arafat and Rasha a new chance at life in Canada
Thank u all my friends
