USI Students Supporting LGBTQ+ Youth in Evansville

We are Intro to Social Work students at the University of Southern Indiana, and we are raising funds to support Greater Evansville Youth, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering LGBTQ+ youth in our community.

Many LGBTQ+ young people face challenges including social isolation, limited access to resources, and discrimination. Greater Evansville Youth provides a safe space, mentorship, and opportunities for these youth to thrive—and we want to help them continue this vital work.

Our Goals:

Fund programs, events, and resources for LGBTQ+ youth.

Support mentorship, leadership development, and community-building initiatives.

Help create a safe and welcoming environment where all youth feel seen, supported, and valued.

Why It Matters:

Supporting LGBTQ+ youth strengthens our community. By helping them access resources, develop leadership skills, and connect with supportive peers and mentors, we are investing in the confidence, resilience, and future success of young people who need it most.
