Recently, I found myself homeless, living out of a hotel and my van, which led to me working a day-by-day job 45 minutes away to afford to pay for a hotel for both my son and me. One day, on my way to work, I was in a road rage incident that I wasn't even aware I was in until I was t-boned on my back driver's side, causing my vehicle to roll four times. I was tossed from the vehicle due to my seat belt snapping and no airbags deploying. I was left in water before I was able to get back to my car, where all my son and my belongings were left all over the highway. Emergency help was finally notified by the person who t-boned me once they got to work. I was left with my vertebrae broken in three places, a fractured knee, and fractured ribs, and then sent home with no assistance or meds from the hospital, stating that I needed to give my body time to heal on its own (willing to upload any proof of doctor's notes).
My son and I not only lost all our belongings, but we lost our home, our car, and my means to make a living. I am truly embarrassed to have to go this way for help, but I do not know how long recovery will be, and I was hoping to get assistance with paying for a room for us for a week or two so I can gain a little control of my body to go back to work.
