help us to support disadvantaged children & young people

SIXTY x £60

This January we are shaking up our challenge as we enter it’s 5th year. We want to continue engaging individuals in the month we support the community to get active; whilst remembering Molly and raising vital funds.

On the 6th January 2025 it’ll be 6 years since we sadly lost the incredible Molly Webb at the age of 25 from sepsis. As our theme is always based on the number 6..Molly’s football number and the day we remember her…and as it is the 6th year of her passing. This year we are looking at recruiting 60 individuals who will pledge to raise £60 each for our charity whilst setting themselves a goal for January / 2025!

If we manage to achieve our target together, that will be £3600 we will raise in January. Matching our best ever fundraising through this challenge in 2021 and doubling what we raised last year. This significant amount of fundraising would support us to open our small grants again in 2025. These grants support local young people to get active through the gifting of up to £500. Example of grants we have gifted in the past include:

- £500 to a young girl to purchase a sports wheelchair so she is able to participate in PE at schools with her peers.
- £350 to a young boy with muscular dystrophy to fund swimming lessons to support with his muscles
- £200 to a young boy who plays hockey but has a challenging home life and needed that further support from us and his club to provide him with equipment to participate in something he loves.

If I sign up how can I raise £60? Ask 6 people to donate £10 for your New Years pledge! Ask 10 people to donate £6….ask 4 people to donate £15…ask 60 people to donate £1! It is as simple as that Or if you’re feeling determined and can, you could always put the donation in yourself.

Everyone who signs up to our Sixty x £60 Challenge will receive social media support, sharing links to donations and sharing your pledges and any updates you share with us! Access to our community Facebook group to share your journey for encouragement. We will also be gifting all 60 individuals with a gift at the end of the month-long challenge!

We want YOU to set your goal this January so that it is personal to YOU! We are happy to give ideas and support your journeys but we want to see what is going to motivate you as an individual to take part and support our charity.

We will still be running our 600 minute challenge as usual. This is a a place for everyone to log their active minutes and have a friendly bit of competition and to see your number of active minutes increase on the leader board between 6th Jan and 6th Feb!

If you are not taking part in the SIXTY x £60 but would still like to join in our month of activities you can do so by signing up to our 600 minutes leader board and donating via our link to be in with the chance of winning spot prizes throughout the month. We will also have a few group walks on throughout the month which anyone can attend!
