Support Evacuating our displaced family in Gaza

Dear friends and community members,

I, Adham Almadhoun and my brother Walid Almadhoun, reach out to you with a heavy heart as our family is currently in Gaza strip "Rafah city specifically", experiencing the devastating effects of the ongoing conflict. The situation has become increasingly dangerous, and we fear for their safety every day.

We are starting this donation campaign in the hopes of raising enough funds to evacuate my family from Gaza to a safer location in Egypt. The violence and destruction have taken a toll on their mental and physical well-being, and we cannot bear to see them suffer any longer. We have witnessed tragedies involving children, friends, relatives, and neighbors losing their lives or suffering serious injuries due to this conflict. Our family's childhood home and memories in Gaza City vanished within seconds. Nearby hospitals, schools, and infrastructure were destroyed, making the area uninhabitable. Despite all this devastation, we are still hopeful of better times for our family and all the people impacted.

Our story

Our families are not just numbers. Our beloved mom, has dedicated her life, time and love to raise 4 sons and 2 daughters.

Our hero father, who devoted his life as a teacher teaching in schools and surrounded us with wisdom.

Our youngest sister, Haya,19 years old, Haya who just graduated high school with high excitement and enthusiasm but her university was bombed completely after one week of her start.

Our Brother Mohammed, who is raising with his wife Saloma 2 boys 5years and 2 years old. Both parents are working in Graphic design as freelancers with hopes for a better future for their children.

Our other brother Ali, who is raising with his wife Hadeel a 2 years old girl and working as a teacher for elementary level who is regularly looking for his people safety and needs in these difficult times.

The Evacuation plan

As a consequence of your contributions, the funds will be used to cover the expenses of traveling from Rafah to Egypt. To be included on the crossing list from Rafah to Egypt, a paid permit is required. "Hala for travel", the official agency in Egypt, manages these permits and provides them for $5000 per adult and $2500 per child under 16 years old. In our family's case, the number of adults would be 7 adults and 3 children.

We will keep you informed through this event on the handling of incoming funds to promote transparency. You can also reach out to us at any time with any concerns you may have about the situation.

We hope that we can reach the targeted funds, and keep the family together and especially the children, who can stay together with their both parents. However, If there is a lack of funds, we will then give priority to the children, women and the elderly. It would be really difficult for us to make such decisions but we will have to move forward and continue our efforts.

The safety and well-being of our loved ones had become an all consuming concern throughout the war times, but we hope this campaign reignites our family's hopes. Thank you for your compassion and support during this difficult time.
