WE DID IT!!! Thank you thank you so much! A generous absolutely amazing person donated the full amount. Dixie will be able to have her surgery and keep her leg. Our family is so grateful for our circle. We are crying happy tears and snuggling our Dixie girl extra close tonight
**Update**
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated thus far. Dixie’s amputation (or reparative surgery if we secure the remaining funds) is scheduled for Monday morning at 8:15. It is the furthest we could push treatment out without causing her significant pain or nerve/muscle damage.
I’ve left voicemails for the low cost surgery clinic in Noblesville and Brownsburg every day this week. They were closed for weather on Monday and Tuesday. Despite being open today, I cannot get through. I will keep trying through the remainder of the week.
We continue to pray for miraculous healing. Please join us in that prayer.

Hello everyone!
For those that know us well, you know we have our baby Goldendoodle, Dixie. Dixie fell down the stairs on January 8th and broke her leg. She shattered both her tibia and part of her fibula. Thankfully, her growth plate is fine, but she will absolutely need surgery. If we cannot do the surgery, her leg will need to be amputated. We were provided an initial quote from the orthopedic surgeon based on Dixie’s imaging, but once the surgeon evaluated Dixie in person the quote increased. It’s a complicated surgery that will require a metal plate and pins to ensure proper healing. Time is of the essence for this surgery and it has already been almost 3 weeks since the break
We contacted the low cost surgical clinic in our area, but no one will return our calls. We plan to continue these efforts until the final hour, but they have a reputation for limited availability.
After utilizing all of our savings and credit options, we are $1,000 short for the surgery. If we cannot raise these funds within 48 hours, we will have to make the heartbreaking decision to amputate Dixie’s leg.
We will exhaust all options, and if we cannot reach our goal we are at peace with what needs to be done.
