One of our 5&5 team members in Latin America has been quietly facing the uphill battle of paying increasing medical costs for his daughter. His daughter, age 4, was born with a rare kidney condition. After numerous treatments and doctor visits, she is in desperate need of surgery to preserve her kidney function. While our team member was able to schedule this much-needed surgery, the cost is staggering: $40,000 Quetzals, or approximately $ 5,000.00 USD. As the sole provider in his household, our team member and his family have done their best to manage the responsibilities of caring for his daughter.
