We received news this week that has turned our world upside down. After 3.5 years in our home, our landlord informed us they’ve decided to sell the house—and plan to move quickly. This means we now have to find a new place to live as soon as possible.
This situation is especially difficult because we are caring for my mom, who has advanced dementia. Stability and routine are critical for her, and this sudden disruption will be incredibly challenging. We now face the urgent task of finding a new home that can accommodate her needs—something single-level, in a quiet and safe environment—while trying to minimize confusion and distress for her as much as possible.
On top of that, the financial strain is overwhelming. The cost of moving, deposits, and rent has increased significantly since we first moved in, making it much harder to secure a place within our budget on such short notice.
Everything has happened so quickly. While we do have some tenant rights that may give us a little time, they don’t change the reality—we will have to move, and soon.
I’ve always been someone who prefers to help others rather than ask for help myself. But right now, we are in a position where we don’t know what else to do.
If you’re able to contribute, share, or support us in any way, it would mean more than I can put into words. Every bit helps us get closer to finding a safe, stable home during this incredibly stressful time.
Thank you so much for your kindness, support, and compassion—it truly means everything to us.
