Hi my name is Hanah. I made this Gofundme for my bestie Marla. Please support her during this incredibly challenging time. Thank you! Below is a message from Marla:
Hello community,
I’m reaching out with vulnerability and hope during one of the hardest transitions of my life. I am a queer , disabled, Mexican Indigenous woman who recently left a 18-year relationship and am now trying to rebuild my life from the ground up.
Right now, I am based in LA and searching for stability, a safe place to stay, consistent work, and the financial support needed to get through this transition with dignity. Leaving a longterm relationship has meant starting over emotionally, physically, and financially, and navigating that while disabled has made securing housing and employment even more urgent and challenging.
I am asking for support in whatever ways people can offer:
• Financial contributions to help cover temporary housing, food, transportation, medical needs, and basic living expenses
• Community aid and mutual support
• Connections to safe spaces, rooms for rent, queer-friendly housing, or temporary places to stay
• Job leads, freelance opportunities, or accessible work opportunities
• Sharing this fundraiser within your networks
This is not easy to ask for, but I believe in the power of community care and collective support. Every dollar, share, message, and connection helps create a path toward safety, stability, and healing.
As a queer, disabled, Mexican, Indigenous woman , finding secure and affirming spaces matters deeply. My goal is not just survival, but the chance to rebuild a life where I can feel safe, independent, and hopeful again.
Thank you for reading, supporting, and standing with me during this chapter of rebuilding. Your kindness means more than words can express.
With gratitude,
Marla
Thank you all for your support and love!
