A 55‑year‑old man we know—someone who has lived his entire life with hardship—has suffered a severe stroke. He is extremely poor and has spent years working as a daily labourer, staying in other people’s homes just to survive. Despite his own struggles, he has carried the weight of his family on his shoulders.
A few years ago, his only son passed away, leaving behind two young children. This man has been their guardian ever since, doing everything he could to keep them fed and safe. He also has a 27‑year‑old daughter who remains unmarried simply because the family has never had the financial means.
Last night, after the stroke, he was admitted to the hospital. Doctors have said he urgently needs ICU care, but the cost is far beyond anything the family can afford. In Bangladesh, ICU treatment is extremely expensive, and without immediate help, he cannot receive the care he needs.
We are trying to raise £1,000 to cover his treatment, after‑care, and basic support for his family. He is the only earning member of the household, and now, with him critically ill, they have no way to survive on their own.
If you are able to help—even a small amount—it could truly save a life and protect a family that has already endured more loss than anyone should.
