Urgent: Support Mariano's Father's Medical Needs

My name is Mariano Palomino, and I’m 19 years old. I never imagined I’d be writing something like this, but today, I’m reaching out with all the strength I have left to ask for your help.

Recently, my father was diagnosed with severe complications from diabetes. It’s taken so much from him — he’s lost his foot, and now, his health is rapidly declining. The pain of watching someone you love fight for their life is something I hope no one ever has to experience… but right now, it’s my reality.

At the beginning of his condition, my dad didn’t have medical insurance. And even now, healthcare in Peru is very limited — especially in emergencies like this. Something as simple as one liter of blood, which can truly be life-saving, is incredibly hard to access without the funds to pay for it.

I am doing everything I can to support him. I work hard, I cover my bills, and I’m trying to stay strong — but I can’t do this alone.

Right now, my dad urgently needs three liters of blood, and each liter costs $500, totaling $1,500 just for this week’s treatment. This is a life-saving need. Without it, I don’t know what will happen. I am terrified — but I still have hope, because I believe in the kindness of others.

My father means the world to me, and I would give anything to ease his suffering.
