Mon amie Ivy, une femme trans incroyable que j’ai eu la chance de rencontrer à l’été 2024, traverse présentement une situation vraiment précaire— autant au niveau du logement que financier. C’est aujourd’hui une de mes personnes les plus proches, pis avec tout ce qu'elle a vécue… elle mérite un *** de break.

Tout en étant parent d’un enfant de 6 ans, elle a déménagé de St-Jérôme mars 2023 pour s’installer à Montréal suite à une séparation. Depuis, elle a déménagé 6 fois en l’espace de 3 ans. Entre colocations instables, environnements toxiques et logements insalubres, elle n’a jamais eu la chance de vraiment se déposer et respirer.

En plus de tout ça, elle a aussi vécu un gros problème administratif lié à son changement de nom légal depuis 2022. Des incohérences entre ses documents ont mené à des situations graves, comme être expulser de la RAMQ et perdre l’accès à son tout nouveau médecin de famille, entre autres — ce qui a eu des impacts concrets sur sa stabilité et son accès aux services essentiels.

Deplus, des erreurs entre la banque, les pièces d’identité et les dossiers gouvernementaux l’ont laissée pendant près d’un 1 an sans accès stable à ses revenus et services bancaires. Ça a complètement fragilisé sa situation financière, malgré tous ses efforts pour régler ça.

En août 2025, elle a perdu son emploi stable de 2 ans en test de jeux vidéo à cause de coupures de personnel. Du jour au lendemain, elle est passée de “employée fiable” à sans revenu, sans avertissement réel.

À travers tout ce chaos, elle maintient de dire que son enfant, ses amis et Montréal est ce qui lui donne la force de continuer à se battre.

Depuis, elle a dû piger dans toutes ses économies simplement pour survivre : payer le loyer, assumer l’allocation parentale pour son enfant, et essayer malgré tout de préserver du temps de qualité avec lui, tout en restant à flot. Elle a aussi été contrainte d’emprunter des sommes importantes à des ami·e·s et d’anciennes colocs.

Aujourd’hui, la situation est urgente :

• Elle doit quitter son appartement d’ici le 31 mai 2026

• Elle est activement en recherche d’emploi et de logement

• Elle est prise dans un cycle de dettes difficile à briser seule

Pourquoi cette levée de fonds?

L’objectif est simple : lui donner une vraie chance de sortir la tête de l’eau.

• Rembourser ses dettes urgentes

• Stabiliser sa situation financière

• Lui permettre de couvrir ses besoins de base

• Lui offrir un minimum de sécurité pour elle et son enfant

• Et surtout… lui donner un peu de répit, du temps de qualité avec son kid, sans stress constant

Détail des besoins financiers :

• Allocation enfant à couvrir : 2100 $

• Dette de loyer urgente : 2560 $

• Dette de loyer (après le 31 mai) : 2910 $

Fonds de redémarrage (essentiel pour repartir) :

• 350 $ – allocation enfant

• ~800 $ – premier mois de loyer futur

• 200 $ – dépenses de base (internet, hydro, téléphone, nourriture)

TOTAL : 9 000$

Chaque contribution, peu importe le montant, peut réellement changer les choses. Même partager la campagne, c’est déjà énorme. Et si jamais vous avez des pistes pour un emploi ou une colocation, ça pourrait aussi faire une vraie différence.

Ivy est une personne résiliente, douce, et profondément humaine. Elle fait tout ce qu’elle peut pour s’en sortir — là, elle a juste besoin d’un coup de main pour briser le cycle.

URGENT MUTUAL AID REQUEST FOR A TRANS WOMAN WITH A CHILD

My friend Ivy, an incredible trans woman I had the chance to meet in summer 2024, is currently going through a very precarious situation — both financially and in terms of housing. She’s now one of my closest people, and with all the thing she's gone trough… she deserves a real break from life hitting this hard.

She’s the parent of a 6-year-old child. After a separation, she moved from St-Jérôme to Montréal in March 2023. Since then, she has had to move 6 times in 3 years. Between unstable roommates, toxic environments, and unsafe living conditions, she has never had the chance to truly settle and breathe.

On top of everything, she also went through major administrative issues directly tied to her legal name change since 2022. Inconsistencies between her documents led to serious consequences — including being removed from RAMQ and losing access to her newly assigned family doctor, among other things — which had real impacts on her stability and access to essential services.

Moreover, errors between her bank, ID documents, and government records left her without reliable access to her income and banking services for nearly a full year. This severely destabilized her financial situation, despite all her efforts to fix it.

In August 2025, she lost her stable job of 2 years in video game testing due to staff cuts. Overnight, she went from being a reliable employee to having no income, with no real warning.

Through all of this chaos, she continues to say that her child, her friends, and Montréal are what give her the strength to keep going.

Since then, she has drained her savings just to survive — paying rent, covering child support, and still trying to maintain some quality time with her kid while staying afloat. She has also had to borrow significant amounts of money from friends and former roommates.

Right now, the situation is urgent:

• She has to leave her apartment by May 31, 2026

• She is actively looking for both a job and housing

• She is stuck in a cycle of debt that is very hard to break alone

Why this fundraiser?

The goal is simple: to give her a real chance to get back on her feet.

• Pay off urgent debts

• Stabilize her financial situation

• Cover basic needs

• Provide some security for her and her child

• And most importantly… give her some breathing room and real quality time with her kid, without constant stress

• Child-related expenses to cover: $2,100

• Urgent rent debt: $2,560

• Rent debt (after May 31): $2,910
