A call to the merciful and kind-hearted
I am launching this fundraising campaign to help my brother Ali and his family in Yemen. Harsh living conditions have worn this family down, and securing even the most basic necessities has become extremely difficult for them.
My brother Ali is an orphan, and he carries the responsibility of a large family of children and women, with no steady source of income. They live in Yemen in a small, dilapidated room that offers them neither safety nor comfort, and they need a better place to protect them from the harshness of their circumstances.
Their situation has reached a very difficult stage. Providing daily food has become a struggle, they don’t have enough bedding and blankets, and they cannot build a suitable room for themselves. They also have trouble obtaining drinking water and basic household needs.
Even harder, their mother suffers from a chronic illness and needs continuous treatment. Her treatment costs about 20,000 Yemeni riyals per month, an amount beyond their means in their current circumstances.
This family is not looking for luxuries or extras. They need only the most basic essentials of life: food, water, medicine, bedding, and a safe place to live.
For this reason, we appeal to people of goodness and compassion to stand by them in whatever way they can.
We need help providing:
Basic food supplies
Drinking water
Treatment for their mother
Bedding and blankets
Essential household supplies
Help building a safer room
The family’s basic needs
The family’s situation was verified through a WhatsApp video call, in which we spoke with the family members and the children, to confirm the reality of their case before launching the campaign.
The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “God is in the aid of His servant as long as the servant is in the aid of his brother.”
Never underestimate a small amount. Even one dollar could provide food for a child, buy medicine for a patient, or help a family get through one of its hardest days.
If you cannot donate, sharing the campaign with others can itself be a great help, as your post may reach someone who is able to lend them a hand.
O God, reward everyone who helps this family with the best of rewards. Bless their wealth, their lives, and their families. Replace what they spend many times over, open for them the doors of provision and blessing, and keep worry and harm away from them. Heal their sick, protect them and their loved ones, and place what they have given on the scale of their good deeds on the day they meet You.
Donate what you can, and share the campaign if you cannot donate. Your help may be the means of relief that these people have been waiting for a long time.
