Urgent! Save Fernandina Neighborhoods!
Donation protected
We are a group of Fernandina Beach residents who want to save the small-town charm and character of Fernandina Beach.
Our City Attorney and the head of our Planning Department are trying to interpret our Land Development Code in a way that will allow townhome communities to expand into much of the downtown area.
According to their interpretation, any area zoned R-2 and not in the Historic District will allow the tearing down of homes on larger lots to be replaced with multiple townhomes. And more. This will affect the “whole city” and open the floodgates for developers in all neighborhoods. The precedent-setting case will be heard on February 7, 2023, at Fernandina Beach City Hall, starting at 5:00 pm.
Unfortunately, we need to resort to legal action to make City Staff follow the current Land Development Code to not change the character of the city by permitting new townhomes in our established neighborhoods.
This is bigger than Tringali. This is the Domino Effect!!! Please support saving Fernandina Beach by contributing to our fight!!!!!!!
Thank you.
