The Southern Inyo Museum is in desperate need of a new roof before the next cycle of wet weather begins, in order to save and protect the artifacts on display.
The museum, located at 127 W. Bush St in Lone Pine, Ca. is a registered Non-profit organization and operates entirely on the generosity of donors and volunteers.
The museum has a fascinating connection to the town of Darwin, California. Established in 1978 in Darwin, this museum preserves the rich history and heritage of the region. Although the museum once operated directly in Darwin, its collection has since been relocated to Lone Pine and is now maintained by the New Coso Heritage Society.
