A dear friend of mine has been struggling with serious roof problems on her home, along with the weight of credit card debt that built up after unexpected medical expenses for her child. Earlier this year, her child required urgent medical care, leaving her with over $14,000 in medical fees that she had to cover using credit cards just to make sure her child got the treatment they needed.
