With heavy hearts, I want to share that my aunt (my mother's little sister) has been held in a processing facility waiting for ICE to process her. She resides in Texas and as of now, that's where she is being detained. She was denied bond, so we are doing everything we can to find other solutions. A lawyer has been retained, and we are hoping and praying she gets to see her kids again and fight her case.

Those who know my family and her, know she is a good, hard-working person. She has been in the States for 20+ years. She has no criminal record. My aunt is the most determined person I know; she has overcome so many obstacles to give her kids everything they need. She is a breast cancer survivor, and we are worried about her health in general. She is a single mother of 4. Her oldest daughter is 17 years old, a senior in high school. Her youngest boy is autistic and is having a hard time without his mother. I've been in touch with her, and she is heartbroken, confused, and worried about her kids and their well-being.

I am here asking for your support, donations, legal resources, sharing this post, or a simple prayer. Any donations will go towards legal fees and to help her children. Please keep our family in your thoughts as we are holding on to hope and faith, especially her children who are suffering the absence of their mother.

Me rompe el corazón compartir que mi tía (la hermana pequeña de mi madre) está actualmente detenida en una instalación de procesamiento de ICE en Texas. Se le ha negado la fianza y nuestra familia está haciendo todo lo posible para encontrar una manera de traerla a casa. Hemos contratado a una abogada y estamos rezando todos los días para que tenga la oportunidad de luchar por su caso y reunirse con sus hijos. 

 Mi tía ha vivido en los Estados Unidos durante más de 20 años. Ella ha construido su vida aquí. Es una mujer buena, honesta y trabajadora que nunca ha tenido ningún problema con la ley. Es una sobreviviente de cáncer de mama y madre soltera de cuatro hijos increíbles. Ella siempre ha sido una de las personas más decididas y desinteresadas que conozco. Ella es alguien que nunca se rinde, sin importar lo difíciles que pongan las cosas. Todo lo que hace es por sus hijos. Ahora mismo, esos niños están sufriendo. Su hija mayor tiene 17 años, está en el último año de la escuela secundaria, haciendo todo lo posible para mantenerse fuerte. Su hijo menor es autista y lucha profundamente sin su madre.  

Nuestra familia está haciendo todo lo posible, pero realmente necesitamos ayuda. Estaríamos muy agradecidos si pueden donar, compartir esta publicación, conectarnos con cualquier recurso legal o simplemente mantenernos en sus oraciones. Cada ayuda marca la diferencia.
