The Present Situation: Despite decreased ICE presence in our neighborhood, our reality is that the impacts of ICE's violent occupation continue to threaten the housing security of Central Neighborhood families. While hundreds of Central neighbors have wisely and courageously chosen to protect their families by sheltering in place, others faced reduced hours, fewer customers, and business closures that dramatically reduce their income. The economic impacts of this occupation are severe for these families and for our community as a whole; many families need support to cover April rent as they get back on their feet.

Our Impact: With the generous support of thousands of caring people like you, we were honored to distribute full rental payment, including back-owed rent, to every neighbor that requested assistance in February and March. With immense gratitude for your support, we have distributed over $772,000 to over 350 families in the Central Minneapolis neighborhood to remain stably housed.

Our Current Need: Our $300,000 fundraising goal reflects the $75,000 need remaining on our April waitlist, as well as our team's $225,000 estimate for May need.
