Urgent Relief for Pakistan Flood Victims

URGENT CALL FOR DONATIONS: More than two million people have been affected by flooding in Pakistan’s worst-hit province of Punjab. As of August 31, 2025, the Pakistan floods have caused at least 854 deaths and 1,130 injuries, with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province being the worst-hit area. Over one million people are directly affected, with widespread displacement and significant damage to infrastructure, including over 661 km of roads and 234 bridges, and nearly 4,700 houses. The monsoon season, which began in late June, is expected to continue through mid-September, leading to further potential impacts on livelihoods and food security. UPDATE September 2, 2025

Yesterday we distributed rations to 700 families in Kalri-Shekhan, Kalri, Jalar, Nathusha - villages of district Chiniot and Jhang devastated by floods. What I saw is hard to process. Mothers struggling to find even a cup of milk for their children. Entire families surviving without food. Malnutrition written on faces everywhere. Houses washed away, cattle gone, and those who remain have nothing to feed their cattle. Thousands of people came to us with CNICs, proving they are flood-affected. But so many women without CNICs got help from us but will not qualify for government help - they too are desperate, yet invisible. After giving away all ration to 700 families, there were still crowds begging for water, for food, for survival. We gave cash to many so they could at least buy something. By evening, alhamdulillah, no one was left outside empty-handed but it was also dark so people went back to where they came from walking miles in a hope to get something. This is my village. I know this pain. And it is breaking me. We need more support. These families need dignity, homes, and a chance to stand on their feet again.
