Urgent Relief for Heidi's Flooded Homestead

7/23/24 UPDATE

Hey everyone. I wanted an offer an update on Heidi for . Heidi has shown monstrous strength over these past weeks. She has astounded me with her ability to be knocked down, get up, breath, make a decision and move on (as she encounters dozens of these moments every single day). the biggest news is that Heidi has been tirelessly working to get her property and everything in place for a new foundation and a new house to call home. She has her chickens back on her property which brings her much joy. And she and the cats are doing their best to wake up each day to face new challenges. Her work is FAR from over but slhe wants all of you to know that it is in part to your grace and generosity and love that she has the strength to keep going.

6/30/24 UPDATE

Dearest friends and family. As most of you know Heidi and many other residents of cook Minnesota have suffered great loss at the hands of recent flash flooding. Fundraisers like these, the strength and bond of their community, and their own will and determination are keeping them optimistic and hopeful.

Heidi herself is doing quite well. Her property is nearly cleared of debris and damaged materials. She has established temporary shelter. She is bringing her chickens back home, and has a plan for future permanent housing on her property! Despite the trauma and depth of her loss, she is experiencing many happy and hopeful moments.

Please continue sharing this fundraiser to those you think would be willing to continue supporting our friend. She is far from settled and still has so much work to do.
