Thank you for the overwhelming support to help the students from India at FSU, who were impacted by the fire. As the initial essential items need is met, IATLH is suspending this campaign and distribute the funds based on impact after working with FSU administration and INSAT.
Sharing the individual gofundme links below for 2 students who are receiving care at UF Shands. Please continue to support them as they need long term care.
Please reach out to us if you have any questions.
To support FSU students who lost all their belongings in the recent apartment fire, the India Association of Tallahassee has created this fundraising page. According to the INSAT (Indian Students Association of Tallahassee) group at FSU, 30 ( more as identified) students from India have been severely affected and are in urgent need of essentials including food, clothing, winter wear, and other basic necessities.
Two students suffered serious burn injuries and were transferred to the burn unit in Gainesville for specialized treatment. Their recovery will require long-term medical care.
Several others were injured while escaping:
Two students with broken legs
One student with a back sprain
One student with a neck injury
One student with a leg injury
All funds raised will be used to help Indian students impacted. IATLH will work with INSAT to help distribute the funds.
Time is of the essence, and we humbly request the community’s prompt support for this important initiative.
Thank you,
Executive Committee
India Association of Tallahassee
