Hi everyone,

My name is Leah Tran, and together with my cousin Huu Tri Le, we are humbly reaching out for help during one of the most heartbreaking moments our hometown has ever faced.

In the past days, a historic and devastating flood swept through Eastern Đắk Lắk (formerly part of Phú Yên province) in Central Vietnam, destroying homes, crops, and entire communities in a matter of hours. Families who have lived modest, hardworking lives lost everything overnight — shelter, food, medicine, and even the basic ability to stay safe and warm.

Our relatives, neighbors, and childhood communities are struggling to survive. Roads are washed out, clean water is scarce, and many families are left stranded with nothing but the clothes they escaped with. Local support systems are overwhelmed.

As daughters and sons of this land, our hearts break watching our people suffer. That’s why Tri and I have begun gathering funds, clothing, medicine, and food to bring directly to the families most affected — especially the elderly, children, and those who cannot reach aid distribution points.

With your support, we hope to provide:

• Emergency food for families who have gone days without a proper meal

• Clean drinking water and water-purification supplies

• Essential medicines & hygiene kits

• Warm clothing and blankets

• Basic rebuilding support for damaged homes and community structures
