Cindy Florendo is my beloved Sister in Christ and a dear friend. She and her family live in the Philippines. Cindy and I met in California last year and were assigned as companions in choosing to serve as missionaries. She finished her mission a few months ago. Three days ago the family suffered great loss with Typhoon Kalmaegi. Cindy and her family have been in a constant state of fear, distress, and exhaustion as they try to pick up the pieces of the destruction left behind. Their home has been severely damaged by flooding. Debris is everywhere in their community and help is scarce. She and her family are currently at their local church building with over 300 other refugees as they prepare for Typhoon Uwan to hit in the next 48 hrs. It is supposed to be bigger and worse than the last one. Any contribution is of great help and will be truly appreciated and will go straight to the Florendo family recovery efforts. God Bless!
