Crystal Sound Sanctuary, founded by Dr. Daniel and Marza Allen, both local medicine workers from Nevada City, is a biodynamic farm and retreat located on 127 acres of restored ancestral farmland in Gowanda, New York. Your contributions will enable us to finally move the sanctuary into a self-sustaining status and we will be able to open the space to more visitors next year, allowing us to share the restored beauty of our farm and continue our mission of healing and connection with the power of Nature.

We urgently need your support to sustain us through the winter and prepare for the upcoming summer season. Despite substantial investments in developing the sanctuary, we are still just short of completion. Our immediate needs include settling significant tax obligations, replacing windows, upgrading the heating system in the old farmhouse, and acquiring new farming equipment for the 2025 season. At the Sanctuary, we offer workshops, retreats, and healing services, including Vibrational Medicine, Movement Therapy, Herbal Medicine, and Cranial Sacral Therapy, all designed to support each individual’s healing journey. We live by the motto “give us a week – take back your life!” When you come to spend a week with us and immerse yourself in nature, you can reset your nervous system and cultivate renewed energy within your life.

The land, which previously faced challenges from chemicals and industrial farming practices, has been healed with permaculture, restorative agriculture, and biodynamic processes. As the land rejuvenates, so does its ability to heal those who visit.

To create a sacred space that invites individuals from around the world to gather, rejuvenate, and connect with nature. We offer holistic healing practices that facilitate personal growth and healing. Throughout the year, we host a variety of retreats and workshops, welcoming friends and community members from across the globe to our property in Gowanda.

About Dr. Daniel Allen:

Dr. Daniel grew up on this family farm with his grandparents and parents. It was freeing to have safe nature to roam in, and with the land connected to cousins’ farms on two sides, the play land became that much bigger. There were mini-bikes and motorcycles, and horses, and cows, and gardens, and corn fields, and tractors, and so many other beautiful parts of Nature to grow with. About 7 years ago, Dr. Daniel began monthly trips to the farm to help care for his dying father.

With these trips began the cleaning up of 3 generations of accumulation, old broken farm equipment, and the restoration of the fields back to organic status. The whole farm in 127 acres with the back 50 acres being keep fully wild for the Sanctuary. The healing power of Nature is palpable there as the vibrations of Life permeate your experience of just being present. Dr, Daniel and his team are experts in human restoration, helping with healing of past traumas, and the overall revitalization process.

They have learned that the healing process helps us connect with Nature in a deep subconscious way which fortifies our health. The Summers are a perfect time to be outside as much as possible there, and Dr. Daniel started building a team of people who recognized the health and healing value of the land itself. Much of the farm has been free from faming and grazing for 30 years, so the wild forces of Nature are palpable. Summer retreats began about 3 years ago, where we had workshops in local herbal medicine making and learning the power of the medicine wheel.

We have hosted two vision quests there as well as full moon fire circles, and other gatherings. The night sky is spectacular there so spending a night out on the Sanctuary is a welcome treat. The night time fires are a must. Dr. Daniel and his team invite you to schedule a week of care and time to be immersed in nature and receive hands-on osteopathic medical care, herbal and vibrational medicine consultations, movement therapy, and other supportive activities. About Marza Allen: BSN, MS,CHT, Clinical Herbalist:

After receiving a formal education and working in allopathic medicine for two decades, Marza returned to her roots in earth medicine. She is one of the last Grandmothers of the Wind Creek Elders in Sedona, Arizona. Her father's people hold the position of keeper of the Emergence Eternity Door for the Wind Creek people, and Grandmother Marza is currently the last to hold this position. She worked with Flower Essence Services for ten years as an educator, promoting Biodynamic Flower Essences and training others in Vibrational Medicine. Additionally, she spent five years at a Biodynamic Farm developing Biodynamic Potentized Waters, Vibrational Medicine, and medicinal herbal tinctures. She has presented alongside Dr. Emoto on live water and the Biodynamic Calendar and was invited to present her live water presentation in Damanhur, Italy. For the last twenty years, she has worked with and developed Vibrational Biodynamic Medicines while teaching both nationally and internationally, from the Hopi mesas to the ancient temples of Egypt.
