We were contacted about a dog found in absolutely horrendous condition. When we first saw her, our hearts broke. We’ve named her Cookie, a sweet name for a dog who has endured unimaginable suffering. She’s covered in open sores, bleeding from multiple places. Her skin is raw, inflamed, and oozing. There isn’t a single spot on her body that isn’t wounded. She’s emaciated, and the smell of infection fills the room before you even reach her. You can see the pain and exhaustion in her eyes.

The police reached out to us for help, and the moment we saw her, we knew she needed emergency care immediately. Cookie was rushed to the hospital, where she’s now receiving treatment.
