The Oak Park Community Shop in Sacramento is more than just a workspace — it’s a vital community hub where neighbors come together to learn, create, and support one another. Through free fix-it workshops, shared tools, and hands-on shop classes, they provide accessible resources and a welcoming, judgment-free space where people of all backgrounds can safely be themselves. Unfortunately, the shop is currently facing an urgent crisis. They are already behind on rent, and this morning the space was broken into, causing structural damage and the loss of essential tools and equipment that keep their programs running. We’re raising funds to help repair the damage, replace stolen items, and ensure this irreplaceable community resource can stay open and continue serving Oak Park. Every contribution helps protect a space built on creativity, mutual aid, and community care.
