URGENT: New Home Needed For Struggling Orphans

The Minister of Wellness Ministries has been sponsoring Nuru's Children's Home in Athi River, Kenya, for nearly a year. Another orphanage referred us to this home, which was honest enough not to take our money but instead informed us that Nuru's has been struggling mightily due to a lack of donations.

During our first visit to Nuru's Children's Home, we noticed it was in a terrible location—right in the middle of the slums and in a flood zone. The smell was horrible, and flies were everywhere. I could feel the desperation and sincerity in the mother of the home, Mama Florence, as she explained the great struggles she has had in maintaining the home of over 100 children, many of whom are special needs.

Due to a lack of funding, the children had been going to school undernourished, with minimal clothing and poor-quality shoes. Also, several of the newest children had been found on the streets by the police and dropped off at the home, requiring thousands of dollars in medical expenses and other necessities to improve their quality of life. She was in tears when I informed her that The Minister of Wellness Ministries would take over full sponsorship of the orphanage. The children celebrated with dance, songs, and tears as she introduced me to them. It was challenging for me not to break down crying with them for joy.

Since then, we have done our best with the $4,000 monthly donation to provide our children and the small, humble staff with everything needed to function correctly. However, the conditions of the slums have worsened to the point where the health of our children is being negatively impacted. A significant sewage issue is next to our home, causing a stench so strong it would make a pig vomit. Fruits and vegetables can only do so much to overpower air pollution. The infestation of flies has become so bad it is difficult for many children to get an adequate night's sleep.

The home also has many structural challenges. It is composed of metal sheets, many of which are falling apart. Every time it rains, the home floods with an avalanche of mud, destroying our children's already poor-quality shoes and clothes, especially our little ones.

For these reasons, the Lord has inspired me to move our children from this horrific location. We must purchase land in an ideal location with clean air and water and build a brand-new orphanage and an education center to house at least 200 orphans.

I have also been preaching to our children every Sabbath Day. Our little ones are homeschooled, so we need to build an education center on the land to hold our weekly services, for their schooling, and other community events. As you can see in the video, the conditions in our home are not suitable for raising healthy, intelligent African Kings and Queens.

We seek to raise $500,000 for this project as quickly as possible to acquire the land and start building. We must move our children out of this location as quickly as possible before their health worsens. We are already trying to heal our children, but the toxic environment is making our efforts to improve their health extremely challenging.

Even thousands of years after you're gone, your legacy will remain, and all future guests and children will see you as a Platinum-level donor to the building of this orphanage. • DIAMOND LEVEL DONOR - $50,000: As the highest level Donor of our orphanage, your legacy will be sealed for all times, as your full name will be a part of the orphanage's name. Therefore, it will read, etched in stone for all to see upon entering the property, the home and the education center – The Minister Of Wellness Ministries With The Support Of (YOUR NAME) Children's Home. You will also be inducted into our Donors' Hall Of Fame. Your photo will also be prominently displayed inside the central area of the orphanage and the education center for all guests and children now and in the future to see.
