Hello!

My name is Erica, and my two young sons and I (and quite probably our old cat) are in need of some financial help. Our situation is we have to find a new home and move to it quickly, but with how little notice we were given, I had no chance at saving up enough money for a security deposit, two month's rent, application fees, extra storage fees, moving costs, etc...

Our landlord said we have to be completely out by August 1st.

(And they won't be fixing the broken central air system until after we leave. It has not worked in over a month, so our current home is like a sauna during these hot, summer days.)

I am searching for a new home, most likely a rental due to the time constraints, for the three of us. I am trying to find someplace less expensive than this home was, as I will now have to pay for before and after school childcare as well. This is because their father is not moving with us.

This is a brand new, fresh start for us!

I just wish it wasn't happening faster than I could afford it by myself.

Any financial help raised here will go towards the moving costs, security deposit, initial rent payment, etc... costs associated with our fresh start in a new home.

Alternatively, if it takes us longer to find somewhere new to live, my backup plan is to rent a new storage unit, move all furniture and everything but bare necessities into the new unit, then come August 1st, if we still have nowhere to move to, my boys and I will just have to check into a hotel/motel/something like that for a little while, until we can secure housing. It's not ideal, but you do what you have to do in times like these. I already have the storage unit lined up and reserved.

This is our new hope, for a fresh start, and hopefully looking ahead to a brighter future!
