We recently discovered our house has a serious mold problem that we believe may be the cause of many health issues we have had while living there.

Now we desperately need to move as fast as we can, and with some help, that would make it possible for us to do so.

We first moved into our house in March 2020. We wondered if there might be a mold problem due to curious situations within the home, like mold growing on the windowsills and in the toilet bowl quickly.

It wasn't until this week that we discovered a leak in the waterline to the refrigerator. That prompted Richard to investigate and pull out the dishwasher and cut into the drywall. We then found mold on the back of our drywall and on the bottom kitchen cabinets. As Richard removed more cabinets and cut into more drywall, we discovered that the problem was much more serious than we thought.

It seems that our master bathroom shower has been leaking for a long time due to it not being built correctly and has caused a serious mold problem in the wall shared between the master bathroom and the kitchen/dining area.

At that point, Richard knew from his previous work remodeling homes that the situation was quite hazardous and that we needed to try and vacate immediately so our landlord could send in professionals to handle the remediation, which will take a significant amount of time and leaves the home without a functioning kitchen.

Since we have lived in this home, we have suffered from various symptoms that honestly didn't make sense based on our ages and lifestyle. From severe eczema to digestive issues even requiring surgery. We are hopeful that leaving the moldy environment will help our bodies to heal and help us to get better.
