Crowdfunding/fundraising for trans/queer/plural persons to get into a safe place

Our friend Sasha is a queer, trans, nonbinary person who has been living under the control of abusive, narcissistic, and openly transphobic parents. They need urgent financial help to leave and find a safe place to live.

They are vegan and hold deep care for all living beings. When their parents brought home live lobsters, they carefully took the lobsters, drove to a local pier, removed the rubber bands, and with the help of a kind stranger released them back into the water.

In retaliation, their father confiscated the keys to the car that should legally be in their name but remains under parental control through years of manipulation. Without the car, they are stranded in a rural area with no reliable way to leave the house, seek help, or work.

When they later tried to retrieve the keys from their father’s pants on the floor, he tackled them, pinned them to the ground, and physically assaulted them, hitting them across the face as they screamed for help.

They are still trapped in that home. The combination of physical violence, control, isolation, and ongoing transphobia has made the situation unsafe and unsustainable. They need help to get out as soon as possible.

Funds raised will go toward immediate housing, moving costs, basic living expenses, and the ability to get somewhere safe. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps them take the next step toward safety and independence. This goal, along with their savings, will be enough for them to safely move/escape to a safe place. Thank you for reading their story and for any support you can offer.
