BALTIMORE STUDENT AND MOTHER IN DANGER OF DEPORTATION and PHYSICAL HARM PLEASE HELP: Years ago, a BCPSS student and parent fled their home country after being brutally and repeatedly targeted by gang violence, including the mother being held hostage and tortured for 3 days. They reported the vicious crimes done to them to the country's police, which sadly only put a greater target on their back.

They are now facing possible deportation during their upcoming court hearing and need legal representation to defend their asylum case and juvenile visa for survivors of trauma. They followed every available lead to seek pro bono representation, but no organization had available capacity because of the extraordinarily high need for immigration attorneys right now. Deportation back to their home country would be a death sentence.
