Who We Are?

SOWA is a London-based grassroots initiative dedicated to facilitating the delivery of essential resources to communities in Sudan affected by the ongoing war. The word SOWA means “together” in Arabic, reflecting our commitment to working collaboratively to provide support.

Unlike traditional humanitarian aid organizations, we do not provide direct aid ourselves. Instead, we act as a facilitator, mobilizing resources from donors, businesses, and organizations and collaborating with trusted local partners in Sudan to ensure that supplies reach those most in need.

Where We Are From?

We are based in London, UK, with strong connections to Sudanese communities both locally and on the ground in Sudan. Our work is informed by firsthand knowledge of the crisis, and we coordinate with individuals and organizations actively responding to the humanitarian emergency.

Who We Are Raising Funds For?

The funds raised through this campaign will support civilians in Sudan who are struggling to access medical care, food, clean water, and essential supplies due to the ongoing war. We prioritize those in hospitals, displaced communities, and underserved areas where international aid is not reaching.

We work with trusted grassroots initiatives and local organizations in Sudan that have the networks and capabilities to distribute aid directly. These partners are non-political, non-military, and solely focused on humanitarian relief.

Who Will Be Receiving the Funds and How They Will Be Delivered?

Funds will be transferred to verified organizations and networks inside Sudan that have been vetted for transparency and accountability. These include:

1) Hospitals and medical facilities that are still operational but lack supplies.

2) Community-led initiatives providing food, water, and essential goods.

3) Local distribution networks that can reach people in need despite logistical challenges.

Due to restrictions on international aid and banking in Sudan, we utilize secure financial channels and trusted intermediaries to ensure that funds are received by those on the ground who can procure and distribute supplies efficiently.

How the Funds Will Be Spent?

Every donation will go directly towards procuring and delivering essential items, including:

Medical supplies (antibiotics, surgical kits, IV fluids, wound care) for hospitals treating the injured and sick.

Food assistance (staple grains, cooking oil, nutritional support for children and families facing food insecurity).

Water access support (clean drinking water, filtration units, emergency distribution).

Emergency essentials (hygiene kits, blankets, clothing, and shelter materials for displaced families).

We maintain strict oversight on how funds are allocated and work only with reliable, community-based partners who provide regular updates on the distribution and impact of donations.
