My name is Basam Farhan Alshaer, a husband and father from Gaza. Before the war, our lives were simple and filled with love. We had a modest home where laughter echoed, and dreams were nurtured. I worked hard to provide for my family, ensuring that my children had food on the table and hope in their hearts. Our community was close-knit, and we found joy in the little things—shared meals, children's play, and the warmth of our neighbors.
Our Situation Before the War
Life in Gaza has always been challenging, but we managed to find happiness amidst the hardships. Our home was our sanctuary, a place where my children felt safe and loved. We had dreams—dreams of education, of building a better future, of peace. Despite the economic struggles, we were content and hopeful.

Everything changed when the war erupted. Our home was destroyed, reduced to rubble in an instant. We lost not just our shelter but our sense of security and normalcy. Now, we live in a makeshift tent, exposed to the elements and the constant fear of further violence. My children wake up crying from nightmares, and I feel helpless, unable to provide the comfort they so desperately need.

We are in urgent need of assistance to relocate to a safer area near Rafah. The cost of moving, securing basic necessities, and ensuring my family's safety is beyond our means.
