*** WHAT WE DO FOR FAMILIES IN NEED ***

In 2025 alone, our FPSWNJ director and volunteers supported hundreds of households through various programs, including:

- Eviction Prevention/Diversion – working with landlords to keep families stable in their homes and avoid homelessness

- Transitional Housing Program – eligible families are placed in one of our three transitional homes, where they pay what they can until able to transition to a permanent residence. (Typically 90-120 days.) Over 200 families have been served in this program alone since 2015. It would be devastating to have to turn people away!!

- Financial Assistance – short-term rental assistance, such as a security deposit or first month’s rent; a utility payment, etc. Outcomes include 80% of families from losing their current home; preventing 85% of families from entering a shelter; empowering families by providing necessary tools and resources to overcome barriers and sustain stable, permanent housing. Financial literacy classes are mandatory for all applicants seeking funds.

- Stabilization Services - available to all clients after placement into permanent housing to help them remain housed. Examples: continued regular case management; financial literacy; tenancy skills class; life skills class; housing; workforce development; health and wellness programs. Services take place over time and anticipate the people enrolled to progress.
