Hello family & friends. For those who don't know me my name is Catherine. I've come to the decision of creating this GoFundMe account due to some sudden tragic news. My mother, Maria Cobena, had went to Ecuador for a vacation early November and her return flight was for November 28, 2025. However, she became ill on November 20 and is currently hospitalized. According to the doctors, she is not able to catch her flight on the 28th due to her condition. Once she is discharged she will be able to fly back home. However, due to the last minute changes and her condition, she can't fly home alone. We are raising money to help pay for the flights so either me or one of my siblings could fly out to pick her up and bring her back as soon as possible. Her condition is stable but critical. The sooner we get her back to New York, the better it will be for her health. I thank everyone in advance for any contribution. And may everyone have a happy holiday.

Hola familia y amigos. Para quienes no me conocen, me llamo Catherine. Decidí crear esta cuenta de GoFundMe debido a una trágica noticia repentina. Mi madre, María Cobena, se fue de vacaciones a Ecuador a principios de noviembre y su vuelo de regreso estaba previsto para el 28 de noviembre de 2025. Sin embargo, enfermó el 20 de noviembre y actualmente se encuentra hospitalizada. Según los médicos, no podrá tomar su vuelo del 28 debido a su condición. Una vez que le den el alta, podrá volar de regreso a casa. Sin embargo, debido a los cambios de última hora y a su condición, no puede viajar sola. Estamos recaudando fondos para ayudar a pagar los vuelos para que yo o uno de mis hermanos podamos ir a recogerla y traerla de regreso lo antes posible. Su condición es estable, pero crítica.
