Hi, I'm Sosi and this is my family. Today I'm asking for everyone's help mainly for my husband, who is a father, a hardworking man, a caring person, and who missed his firstborn's 1st birthday because ICE (or bounty hunters) arrested him a few weeks ago while he was on his way to work, not to commit an illegal act or a crime. He was on his way to work to provide for us.

I've reached out to the senate, congressmen, and other political figures from my region as well as to several organizations that support the immigrant community, but unfortunately, I had not much of results. I couldn't find a pro-bono lawyer either. So I had to use the little money I had to hire a lawyer so my husband can be released on bail. But to begin with, the lawyer is expensive, considering that my husband is/was the household.

Moreover, the cost of the bail, the lawyer, and not less important, my daughter and I can face eviction. I'm asking for all your help to cover these expenses. I'm hoping to collect enough money to help my husband before the government removes him from the country he has been working in for years, contributing to this economy. My husband is a hardworking man. We opened a flooring company last year, and so far it was doing good until now that my husband is not here to take care of the jobs.

He has been moved from detention to detention like a cuttle, but right now he is in Louisiana, and we live in New York. I wish he could tell you that the majority, if not everyone detained by ICE, are fathers, working men, and like him, the household, with kids waiting on them to come back home. Just like us, we have a 12-month-old baby who needs her dad.

It really breaks my heart knowing that money marks the difference between my baby having her dad back home or sending him back to our original country and not being sure when we will be united. Please help us with anything, as small as it can be, would make a change to my family. Please share our story! And remember, it was not only about undocumented criminals; it was more about race, ethnicity, etc.
